ANCIENT FOLLOWERS OF YESHUA . . .
Did not believe as we do today. Most of the ideas that are believed today spring from GREEK philosophy and NOT from those who were close to him.
Here is what historical and archaeological research is revealing. Not only was Yeshua real, but there were many like him which is why there was so much debate about if he was the Messiah.
Take Apollonius Tayana a pagan philosopher that had disciples, he was thought to have had a miraculous birth story, healed the sick and poor, and was known to raise people from the dead.
Followers of Apollonius Tayana publicly proclaimed that he matched the prophecies and displayed more power than Yeshua and therefore was the TRUE messiah and NOT Yeshua!
You see hints of this in Mark 9:38.
“Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop because he was not one of us.”
I would also add that many of the miracles said to be done ONLY by Yeshua were being done by women all over the ancient world!!
